A unique ‘behind the farm gate’-experience that gives you a unique experience of how Burren Beef is raised on the grassy meadows of the Burren National Park, a UNESCO Geopark.

You will walk a farm that has been in the O’Rourke Family for over five generations. The family has cared for the landscape, land, and their animals in this area of Co. Clare, adhering to the requirements and needs of this unique landscape, which they have helped conserve and preserve.

Husband and wife team, Cathal and Bronagh O’Rourke, will guide you on this walking tour through their farmlands. You will also be joined by botanist and herbalist Sinéad Keane, also known from RTE’s recent documentary on the Burren, “The Burren – Heart of Stone”.

This even is a botanical guide of the Burren, where you will learn about the unique wild flowers, herbs, berries and trees of this lanscape, its folklore and history, and the place cattle rearing has in it.

Your experience will round up at the traditional rustic farm house for a tasting of of our beef and local produce.
